ADIDAS
PHYSIS
This project was done during my studies in UmeƄ Institute of Design. The objective was to create a vehicle for a non-automotive brand. During my teenage years my life revolved around 2 wheels making this project particularly relevant. My research led me to the realization that there was a significant gap in the market for a lightweight motorcycle that embodied modern values and progressive thinking.
I was drawn to Adidas for several reasons. Firstly, the company's notable contribution to sustainability by incorporating recycled plastics in collaboration with Parley caught my attention. Secondly, Adidas is an iconic brand with a rich legacy that has remained popular among young people for generations. With these factors in mind, I became intrigued by the prospect of exploring how mobility could provide a new level of movement freedom for the brand.
CONCEPT
The core of the concept and also a challenge was to reduce amount of mechanical parts and rethink how can suspension and steering be done solely by 3d printing. Developing flexible and adaptive suspension as a 4D print was one of my focus areas to develop my 3D modeling skills.
